Department of History and Nature club students of U.C.College participated in Environmental Day Celebrations and Haritha Jadha conducted by Paristhithi Sangham, (an active environmental organisation in Aluva) on June 5 th Sunday at Aluva. Around 25 students with Ms.Tresa Divya, Asst Prof in History participated in the morning session presided over by Hon. Justice B. Kemal Pasha, High Court of Kerala . Leading environmentalists of Kerala too were present during the event, which was charged with a spirit of nature conservation. Thereafter the students of U.C.College performed a street play on “Save Periyar” which was received well with applause and appreciation from the audience consisting of thousands of students and teachers from nearby schools and colleges.
