The post-graduate students of the department secured the top three ranks in Mahatma Gandhi University. The first rank was secured by Lijo Sebastian, the second rank by Muhsina Noohu, and the third rank by Rubeena Beeras. Though ranks have not eluded the department in the past, this is the first time that the post-graduate students of the department have secured all the top three ranks. Of course, this would also be the last time that such a feat is achieved, because after this year, academic excellence would be graded rather than ranked. Hence, this achievement is of historical importance as far as the department is concerned. The department is truly proud of all the post-graduate students of the 2011-13 batch.
