Pranav P.H of III BA History won the Kano Yamamoto leadership award, 2014. He received it from Prof. Yamamoto on 12 August 2014 who is on an official visit to the college. The ceremony was held at New Seminar Hall in the presence of Mrs. Yamamoto, students and teachers of the college. Seven students were selected for this year’s awards. It was in recognition of emerging leaders showcasing exceptional talents of leadership and motivation. Prof. Kano Yamamoto is a benefactor of the college since a decade.
Ms. Anju K.P, another student from the department of history won this year’s Yamamoto Merit Award. Prof. Yamamoto wears many hats as an economist, philanthropist, author, and a trustee of the United Board which funds several programmes of Union Christian College.
