Dr. Shela Mary Varghese graduated with Honours in History from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and subsequently completed her Master’s, M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Ancient Indian History at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has qualified twice for the UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in History. Prior to her appointment at Union Christian College, she was affiliated with three universities in India.
