Prof. A.K Baby bio note 

The department of History is one of the oldest P.G departments in the college. Dr. Baby and faculty took the department to great heights. They introduced ideas far ahead of the times. They set up institutions such as the Archaeological Museum in 1975 and is a research center in History since the 1990s.  Dr. Baby was a versatile personality. Alumni and college constituted a Hockey tournament in his name. Dr. Baby was a bonding force not only in the department but also in the college. The scholarships and trophies instituted in the department are mostly by old students. The department of History started the Dr. A.K Baby Memorial Lecture in his honor in 2002.
